Effective July 1, 2026, the Ontario government has implemented several changes to the Automobile insurance product. As a result, updates to the insurance contract—including OAP 1 (Owner’s Automobile Policy) and OAP 4 (Garage Automobile Policy)—will apply to all policies in force as of July 1, 2026, regardless of renewal date.
